Don’t go cold on your pool this winter!

   

While winter may see your family curled up on the couch rather than splashing about in the pool, it’s still important to keep your pool in good shape.

 

Preventative maintenance can potentially save you time and money further down the line – and ensure your asset is protected.

 

Regularly spending a little bit of time making sure everything is looking good and operating well will save you a bigger and perhaps costly job later on.

It’s important to protect you investment and don’t let it go "to sleep” over winter.  And with unseasonal, unpredictable weather we have been experiencing of late, you may be able to take a dip during autumn and winter so it’s ideal to have your pool "swim ready” for that last minute swim.

 

 Here are Donemans tips for keeping your pool in great shape: 

 

• Balance the Water: Bringing a sample of pool water into Donemans will enable you to maintain the correct chemical levels.

• Clean the Pool:  Brush the walls & floor then vacuum the pool thoroughly.  Algae thrives in unclean conditions.
  

• Use a Shock Treatment:  It is recommend to use a regular shock treatment throughout winter to keep the pool looking its best.

• Protect against Algae:  Use an Algaecide to protect the pool through winter months to keep it in top shape.

• Run the Filter:  Remember to keep up the filtration for an adequate amount of hours each day depending on the pool size.
